The man who bought BHS for £1 has been given a six-month driving ban for speeding
Dominic Chappell – the bankrupt who bought BHS for £1 – has been given a six-month driving ban for speeding.
Former racing driver Chappell became involved with BHS because he would drive Paul Sutton – a convicted fraudster who also tried to buy the retailer – to meetings with Sir Philip Green.

But it appears Chappell's driving days are over for now, as Aldershot Magistrates' Court have landed him with a driving ban.
Speaking to Morning Wire, Chappell said the ban came about after he had been driving with a colleague in Andover late at night on a dual carriageway.
"It was a tot-up of points," Chappell said. "I missed a speed change from 50 mph to 40 mph and I apologised for it."

Chappell has been mired in controversy in recent months due to the collapse BHS; the final stores will be closing at the end of this week. His personal life has come under intense scrutiny, particularly because he admitted to MPs investigating BHS that he had taken money out of the company.
