Small Business Saturday: How London celebrated local businesses on the day

If you've had an eye on Twitter, you may have noticed Small Business Saturday has been going on today.

And as an opportunity for all of the nation to get out and support their local firms, Londoners have been doing just that.

Here's what's been happening for Small Business Saturday in London:

Politicians were out in force…

Sadiq Khan was of course out and about, dropping by Pellicci Cafe in East London

And was there for the reopening of Well Street Market in Hackney

​Meanwhile communities secretary Sajid Javid swung by Battersea Flower station

After getting some fuel for the day

Elsewhere, Labour MP for Streatham Chuka Umunna popped into one of his locals

Some businesses went the pop-up route

While even big company bosses got in on the act – at least Sage's did

And ultimately, most kept it Christmassy (it is December after all)
