Barron sorry for failed dope test
GOLF: American Doug Barron has apologised after becoming the first golfer to be banned for doping.
The 40-year-old, who tested positive for an unnamed substance, said: “I apologise for any negative perception of the PGA Tour or its players resulting from my suspension. I did not intend to gain an unfair competitive advantage or enhance my performance while on Tour.”
