The World’s press have been driving the new, fifth generation BMW M5. The car’s 560bhp V8 engine replaces the bigger, less economical V10 of the previous M5 meaning fuel consumption is down by 30 per cent to 28.5mpg (combined). Capable of 0-62mph in 4.4 seconds and 155mph the new M5 costs £73,040 OTR.
AUDI A1
Audi has launched the five-door Sportback version of its three-door A1. The car boasts great fuel economy and low emissions. The 1.6 TDI diesel version is capable of 74.3mpg and emits just 99g/km CO2 – and costs just £560 more over the three-door model. The A1 Sportback is priced from £13,980 OTR.
MB WINTER DRIVING ACADEMY
A new £99 Winter driving course is being run by 3 to improve driving skills in ice and snow. The course takes place on a special low-grip track which mimic hard-to-handle slippery driving conditions at Mercedes-Benz World in Weybridge. It could be wisest Christmas present you ever buy.
