Chelsea can get back on track with Goodison win

CHELSEA conceded just 32 goals last season, a Premier League record, and kept 17 clean sheets. It hasn’t been quite as plain sailing so far this campaign.

In the opening four games the Blues have shed nine goals, picking up just four points, and they are now languishing in 13th spot.

Jose Mourinho isn’t a happy bunny, yet it’s far too early to press the panic button.

Chelsea’s squad is strong and their current situation could just be a hangover from last term’s comfortable success.

Like the champions, Everton have made a somewhat erratic start, managing a solitary point from their opening two home games.

In fairness, the Toffees have had some tough games, including Manchester City and Tottenham, but the key aspect of tomorrow’s lunchtime kick-off could be how John Stones reacts against the team he could have been playing for this season.

This fixture last season saw absolute carnage on the Sporting Index trading floor.

Chelsea netted twice in the opening three minutes and Diego Costa’s second in the 90th minute sealed a 6-3 win and a total goal minutes make up of an astonishing 502.

The spread betting firm are quoting 128-138 for tomorrow’s match.

Despite Mourinho’s men having made a wretched start, I fancy them to raise their game tomorrow and the evens available with Sportingbet is a fair price.

The total goals market is a tricky one, as Everton have managed to keep a couple of away clean sheets so far, yet have conceded twice in both their home games.

There will be less pressure on the west Londoners away from Stamford Bridge and it’s time for the likes of Eden Hazard, Pedro and Diego Costa to step up.

A small sell of the time of the first Chelsea goal at 46 minutes with Sporting Index is advised.
