KNIGHT FRANK

The property consultancy has announced the appointment of Rob Macnab as partner in its City leasing team. He joins from Kinney Green, where he was an equity partner specialising in the midtown office market. Macnab has worked for clients including O&H Group, Aberdeen Asset Management and DTZ IM.

AXA INVESTMENT MANAGERS

Tom Clapham has been appointed head of sovereign wealth funds and central banks in Asia at the investment management firm. He joins from Macquarie Securities Group, where he was director of institutional sales. Clapham has more than 15 years’ experience serving institutional clients in Asia, and has previously held roles at Deutsche Bank, Mercer and Towers Perrin.

PwC

The professional services firm has announced the appointment of Tim Allen as partner in its forensics’ disputes team. He joins from Charles Rivers Associates. Allen worked for PwC before founding a boutique advisory firm, and is a leading accounting expert witness, advising companies on disputes, including litigation, international arbitration and investment treaty claims.

MACQUARIE SECURITIES

Iain Reid has been appointed head of European oil and gas research at the financial services group. He joins from  Bank of Montreal, where he was managing director, global integrated oil analyst. Reid has 20 years’ experience covering European, US and emerging market oil companies. He began his career at UBS, and has also held roles at Shell, Hess, and Jefferies.

THE HOUSE OF BRITANNIA

The investor in British luxury brands has announced the appointment of Laurie Pinto to its board with responsibility for group strategy and development. He was most recently chief executive of NSBO, an advisory business, and was also formerly chairman of Pali International. Pinto was also previously an adviser on alternative investments at Commerzbank DLJ and DRKW.

ANV UNDERWRITERS

The managing general underwriter has announced the appointment of Florian Tischer to its mergers and acquisitions insurance team. He has over five years’ legal experience, predominantly in the mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial fields, and has held roles at Field Fischer Waterhouse and Weil, Gostshal & Manges.
