England rugby star Billy Vunipola wants to try on the pads and helmet of American Football after he's finished with rugby.

The giant back row believes he has all the attributes in the NFL someday but insists he is currently committed to seeing out the remaining three years of his contract at Saracens.

"I'm at Saracens until 2019, pushing myself with regards to international honours and seeing if I can represent England," Vunipola, known for his ability to break through tackles, told the Times. "It is hard as a rugby player to talk about stuff like that (future career)."

"I really, really would like to go away and play something else," said the 24-year-old.

"I really want to try out NFL, just push myself and give it a crack. If it doesn't happen then go home.

"It is a long time until then and my mum will probably read this and tell me to shut up and concentrate on one thing.

"I don't actually enjoy watching it [NFL] but I look at it and think, 'If he can do it, I can do it.' You watch those Hard Knocks on Sky and you think, 'I can do that.' "
