Final looks too close to call

TONIGHT is the biggest game of the season and everybody is asking me: ‘Where’s the money going?’ The bookies can’t split them with odds of 17/10 on either Man United or Barcelona winning in 90 minutes. But it’s nearly all United in the eyes of Paddy Power punters.

Ronaldo and Messi will be expected to live up to their billing as the best in the world but it’s the Portu-geezer who is 6/1 favourite for the first goal, with Messi 7/1. And whilst our eyes feast on the action, our ears will be listening to Clive Tyldesley’s enthusiastic commentary.

Barely a United game passes without him mentioning “that night in Barcelona” so Paddy Power are betting on which cliche he uses first. At 10/1 for his most famous phrase, Clive just won’t be able to resist, will he?
