Glover rockets up world rankings

GOLF: US Open winner Lucas Glover has climbed 53 places to 18th in the world rankings following his triumph at Bethpage Black.

The American won by two shots from Phil Mickelson, David Duval and Ricky Barnes. England’s Ross Fisher, meanwhile, who finished fifth, has pulled out of this week’s BMW International Open.
