The Happy Forecast: London’s happiest areas mapped in 3D show Fulham, Parsons Green, Norwood and Crystal Palace are most positive postcodes
The City is apparently a gloomy place to be, while the outlook south of the river is sunnier when it comes to how happy Londoners are.
A new stunning 3D visualisation shows the happiest spots in the capital where you're most likely have a smile on your face.
Anyone wanting to cheer themselves up should head down to Fulham and Parsons Green in SW6, where researchers have identified the postcode as the most positive.
SE19, SE21, SW21, and SE22 were also found to be happier spots in the year-long study, which took into account observations of people's body language, verbal interactions as well as acts of kindness and aggression.

Meanwhile, Tooting, Aldgate, Whitechapel and Mile End are best avoided. They were found to be the least positive, while a cloud of negativity also hovers over SW8, WC1 and SE1.

Clubhouse Studios, the design firm behind the research, has turned the information into a stunning 3D map visualising all of London's 119 postcodes. It lets people explore the city's hottest happiness spots in real time based on the sentiment of tweets in the area – just like a forecast for the weather.
“The Happy Forecast focuses on what psychologists call transitory public sociality; how strangers interact with one another within public spaces," said Clubhouse Studios co-founder Dan Coppock.
"With research showing that sharing the same space for even just a few minutes a day with kind and friendly strangers makes us more optimistic, improves our self-esteem and helps us connect with our environment. We undertook this lengthy observational study as a general healthcheck for our city’s public spaces, and the effect Londoners have on each other as they move through them.”
