Henson to quit Sarries for Toulon
WALES back Gavin Henson is set to make a shock move to Toulon following his release by Saracens last night – after just one start for the club.
Henson, 29, is expected to sign a deal until the end of the season with the French outfit, where he will act as cover while Jonny Wilkinson is on England duty at the RBS 6 Nations.
The high-profile former Ospreys star only joined Saracens late last year and made the first of his four appearances in the Boxing Day clash with Wasps at Wembley.
Henson’s contract was up at the end of the season and Sarries chairman Nigel Wray said: “We wish Gavin all the best for the future as he continues his return to the highest level.”
