Labour leadership battle plays out on Sunday morning TV
The battle over the leadership of the Labour party was played out on the nation's TV screens as Jeremy Corbyn and Angela Eagle both made appearances on Sunday morning politics shows.
Under pressure Corbyn appeared on the BBC's Andrew Marr Show while Angela Eagle, who is expected to announce a challenge for the party leadership, appeared on ITV's Peston on Sunday show.

Eagle resigned from Corbyn's shadow cabinet where she was shadow business secretary, along with more than 60 other MPs.
Corbyn has refused to resign as Labour leader despite the mass resignations and a vote of no confidence, claiming he still has the support of party members.
Talks between the party and unions yesterday broke down after deputy leader Tom Watson said there was "no realistic prospect of reaching a compromise". However, the boss of the Unite union, Len McCluskey labelled it a "disingenuous manoeuvre.

Another contender for the leadership, former shadow work and pensions secretary Owen Smith, had put off making a decision about whether to run until after the weekend to allow the talks to go ahead.
The divide in the party has led to speculation that the party may split.
Now, the latest instalment of the saga played out on national TV.
Corbyn said he was "disappointed" by Eagle's swoop for the leadership and insisted he would not need the backing of MPs to appear on the ballot in a leadership vote. However, Eagle has responded by saying he would need the 51 nominations and would not be on the ballot automatically without that support.
