London style: Iconic British looks from the brands behind London Collections

Our exclusive Morning Wire Bespoke photoshoot celebrates some of the most iconic looks by the brands who exhibited their wares at the menswear showcase, from 1960s mod-inspired styles to the grimy punk borrowed from the late 1970s.

Brilliant fashion minds such as Lou Dalton take these genre classics and reimagine them for a new generation; her rebellious, sports-tinged designs are a staple of today’s cutting-edge style. Meanwhile British brands like Richard James and Paul Smith continue to build on our centuries-old tradition of fine tailoring, continually reinventing the wheel to keep the suit sharp and fresh.

Alexander Mc-Queen staged an up-beat, colourful show that signalled an optimistic tone for the brand, while Burberry and Tom Ford (an adopted Englishman) impressed with their striking new collections. The country gent also gets a nod, with leatherware from the likes of William & Son proving that we’re as adept at accessories as we are everything else.
