London’s Here East partners with Texan co-working space

Here East, home to start-ups and businesses in London’s Olympic Park, and its tenant Plexal, a co-working space, have announced a new partnership with a Texan company to promote transatlantic links.

The two London companies today unveiled an agreement with co-working space Capital Factory in Austin, Texas. It will enable startups at Here East and Plexal to use Capital Factory space of Texas, and vice versa. Companies on both sides will also be able to apply for programmes and support services when looking to cross the Atlantic.

Here East uses the Olympic Park’s old media centre to house companies such as BT Sport as well as Plexal. Capital Factory offers access to co-working, an investment fund, and “highly experienced serial entrepreneurs as mentors”, according to its website.

Fred Schmidt, director of international affairs at Capital Factory said the partnership “can be of great value to our companies in their global markets growth”.
