WINTER BREW FEST
Head up to Old Street for a pint or four at the Winter Brew Fest, where there’ll be live bands, hot food and, of course, plenty of locally-brewed beer to warm those cockles. Entry is £25 from winterbrewfest.co.uk or on the door, which also gets you a tasting glass and 12 beer tokens.

BATTERSEA PARK FIREWORKS
Get your last fireworks fix before the season fizzles out at Battersea Park from 6pm on Saturday. Music will accompany the display on the riverside, with plenty of food and drink to keep you comfortable in the cold. Tickets cost from £6.50 and must be booked in advance from ticketmaster.co.uk.

PILLOW CINEMA
The folks behind Hot Tub Cinema have come up with a cosy winter alternative called Pillow Cinema in Shoreditch, where you can snuggle up in your own pillows from home or a rented beanbag while being served snacks and drinks. Modern film classics will be shown from 6-9 and 11-16 November. Tickets from £15 at pillowcinema.com.

SPOON AT THE SHEPHERD’S BUSH EMPIRE
Texan indie rockers Spoon are coming to the UK – the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, specifically – to play tracks from their eighth album, They Want My Soul, on Friday 14 November. Tickets are still available from £25.31 from o2shepherdsbushempire.co.uk.
