The Spanish consumer price index rose by 1.8 per cent annually in July, in line with expectations and down from a 2.1 per cent rise the month before.

Month-on-month, consumer price inflation fell half a percentage point as expected, following the previous month’s 0.1 per cent rise.

Harmonised across EU member states, the index rose by 1.9 per cent year-on-year and fell 1.1 per cent month-on-month, again in line with expectations.
