‘Tim Apple’: Donald Trump makes latest name gaffe with Apple boss Tim Cook
US President Donald Trump has referred to Apple chief executive Tim Cook as ‘Tim Apple’ in his latest name-related gaffe.
Trump met with the Silicon Valley boss during a White House meeting of the American Workforce Policy Advisory Board, which was set up to help the country manage the shift to automation and artificial intelligence.

The President praised Cook for his contribution to the US economy, saying: “You’ve really put a big investment in our country.”
But Trump slipped up when it came to Cook’s name. “We appreciate it very much, Tim Apple,” he said.
The blunder is the latest in a string of bizarre slip-ups by Trump, who frequently makes errors with names.

The President has previously referred to Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu as ‘Betanyahu’, as well as repeatedly confusing the names of staff members, towns and countries.
Following the slip-up, Trump embarked on a rant about human trafficking, immigration and the border wall with Mexico.
