Two British sporting institutions, one Swiss timekeeper

SLIGHTLY off-kilter sports brand JeanRichard (sister to better-known Girard-Perregaux) has certainly been getting its claws into the UK sporting scene recently. At the end of January, it announced that it was going to be the global and official watch partner of top-flight football team Arsenal. This partnership led to the launch of two limited-edition Aeroscope and Terrascope pieces at Baselworld this year. Hot on the heels of that was the partnership for a second year running with the Oxford and Cambridge – sorry, “BNY Mellon” – Boat Race, for which JeanRichard produced a new Aquascope model in the two team’s blues, awarded to each of the Oxon victors. What’s next? Sponsoring Test cricket..?
