Which London Underground line suffers the worst delays?
Delayed Tube trains and chaotic commuter journeys have long been the fodder of water cooler conversations across the capital.
But transport-related tiffs can now be put to rest, as new data has revealed which London Underground line suffers from the worst delays.
Data compiled by shows denizens of the District line are the worst affected, with a staggering 198 delays of 15 minutes or worse last year.

The Piccadilly and Central lines follow close behind with hefty delays. The Waterloo & City line, by contrast, had only 24 lengthy delays last year.
The data also calculates the number of consumer hours lost due to delays. The Central line, which is the network’s busiest, topped the undesirable list with 5.2m hours lost last year.

Another frustrating reality of Tube travel – station closures – had the largest impact on the Northern Line.

Nevertheless, the figures show service on the Tube has improved, with a gradual decline in the number of long delays over the last 15 years.
