Facebook reactions: Meet the six new emotions you’ll soon be able to share (but there’s no dislike button)
Everyone may have been eagerly waiting to be able to "dislike" something on Facebook, but the next best thing is coming – reactions.
The social network is giving users a veritable rollercoaster ride of emotions to express yourself when someone shares a juicy bit of gossip or the latest picture of their darling children.
Users in Spain and Ireland will be the first to test out the six new reactions from Friday, which range from sadness and anger, to shock and joy.
"People come to Facebook to share all kinds of things – whether that's updates that are happy, sad, funny or thought-provoking," said a Facebook spokesperson.
"And we've heard you'd like more ways to celebrate, commiserate or laugh together. That's why we are testing Reactions, an extension of the Like button, to give you more ways to share your reaction to a Facebook post in a quick and easy way."
The different reactions will be available as an option in addition to the familiar like button.

Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg first revealed it was working on other options to add to the well-established like several weeks ago, but there's no word yet on when the rest of the world will get the extra emoji expressions.
