When it comes to dealing with the threat posed by the so-called Islamic State, Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn is as well trusted as Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The leader of the country that backed Corbyn's electoral victory as a "radical breakthrough" has -47 per cent trust in making the right decisions in regard of Syria and IS, the same as Corybn, according to a new poll by YouGov.

Meanwhile, answering the same question, the public had four percent net trust in Prime Minister David Cameron to make the right decisions, against 10 per cent for French President Francois Hollande and 18 per cent for US President Barack Obama.
The poll of 1,659 people comes on the same day that Cameron made a statement to the House of Commons to urge parliament to accept the need for airstrikes in Syria to "degrade and destroy ISIL".

The Prime Minister, addressing in particular the Foreign Affairs Select Committee report on the need for military action, said: "The threats to our interests and to our people are such that we cannot afford to stand aside and not to act."
The renewed global effort to tackle IS has come in the wake of attacks in Paris, which claimed the lives of 130 people.
