Cole in six week lay-off
ASHLEY COLE could be out of action for up to six weeks after aggravating a leg injury in Chelsea’s victory over Manchester United at the weekend.
The left-back was ruled out of Fabio Capello’s England’s squad to face Brazil in a friendly on Saturday after being diagnosed with a depressed fracture of the tibia.
Cole, 28, sat out for three games after sustaining the injury against Atletico Madrid last month and required an injection to face United on Sunday after aggravating it in training.
A club spokesman confirmed: “He further injured it during the game and has been ruled out of this week’s England squad.”
