Binance’s NFT marketplace has teamed up with Italian football superstars Alessandro Del Piero and Christian Vieri, and Argentine football legend Gabriel Batistuta to launch an exclusive NFT collection.

Designed as a ‘mystery box collection’, the NFTs will be made available through TopGoal, and consist of licensed NFT game cards of memorable moments from the trio’s glittering careers.

The collection will open on Monday November 15 at 3.30pm UTC.

Mystery boxes are specially curated to bring more engagement into the collectables space by injecting an element of gamification and surprise. Users can also buy a mystery box at a comparably lower price and stand a chance to receive limited edition NFTs. Each mystery box is guaranteed to contain one random NFT.

The TopGoal Mystery Box NFT collection titled ‘Return of Legends S2’ will include 12,000 NFT game cards and will be exclusively available on Binance NFT marketplace. The batch of mystery boxes is known as a Special Collector’s Edition with NFT cards to be used in future TopGoal ecosystem utilities like GameFi and DeFi. The mystery boxes contain three quality tiers including: Rare, Epic and Legendary.

In addition to the NFT mystery boxes, each football star will auction one NFT of the ‘Legendary’ quality. Overall, there will be three rarity levels of the 12,003 NFTs, with 24 versions of NFTs in total: Legendary – six (three for auction) designs, Epic – nine designs, and Rare – nine designs.

Monday’s launch will be TopGoal’s second mystery box release on BinanceNFT. To celebrate the occasion, Alessandro Del Piero will be joining Binance CEO CZ for an ‘Ask Me Anything’ (AMA) virtual event on Binance YouTube, discussing the ‘Future of Sport with NFTs’ – also on November 15 at 3PM UTC.

In little more than a month after its debut, Binance NFT became one of the fastest growing NFT platforms in the world, generating 25 million BUSD in sales, selling more than 300,000 mystery boxes and onboarding 400 creators globally. Today, Binance NFT has sold more than 900,000 mystery boxes and earned 103+ million BUSD in sales in total since launch.
