General Election 2015 results mapped: Who’s won where and by how much

All 650 constituencies are in and the results of the General Election 2015 are confirmed – and it's been a tumultuous night, with the Conservatives gaining an unexpected majority with 331 seats (when the Speaker's is counted) against Labour's 232.

The Scottish National Party has taken 56 of Scotland's 59 seats in a landslide victory, destroying Labour's stronghold in the country and, at least in part, bringing about the resignation of Ed Miliband as the Labour leader.

Scottish Labour is the biggest loser of Nicola Sturgeon's wave of popularity in the country, while the Lib Dems have lost seats in Scotland and elsewhere as Nick Clegg's party took a hammering. 

With just eight seats, down from 57 in 2010, the Lib Dems were completely obliterated – and their leader promptly stood down. Ukip is also looking for a new person to take the helm after it picked up just one seat and failed to secure South Thanet for Nigel Farage.
