Hodgson’s harbouring a cup dream
FULHAM boss Roy Hodgson is daring to dream of leading Fulham to a first-ever FA Cup success after a comfortable victory over League Two Notts County took them to within two matches of a Wembley final.
Goals from Simon Davies, Bobby Zamora, Damien Duff and new signing Stefano Okako signalled the end of brave County’s cup run and set up a home quarter-final tie with either Bolton or Tottenham.
The Cottagers have reached the final only once in their history, losing 2-0 to West Ham in 1975, and Hodgson has his sights set on etching his name in club folklore. “It would mean a lot to us,” he admitted. “It would be another major step forward with the progression at the club.
“Success is probably a continued presence in the Premier League, if we could go one step further that would be fantastic.”
