Leicester Tigers bid for the play-offs, James DeGale defends his title and other big scores to be settled in sport this weekend

The play-off picture in Premiership Rugby could be completed this weekend should Leicester recover from their European Champions Cup semi-final disappointment to beat Worcester at home on Saturday.
It would mark a 12th straight year of play-off qualification for the Tigers, who have beaten Worcester in their last 11 meetings.
However, even if that run comes to an end Leicester’s place alongside Exeter, Wasps and Saracens in the play-offs could be confirmed if Sale Sharks do not beat Gloucester at home. A win for Sale would guarantee them a top six position and a place in next season’s European Champions Cup.
Tour de Yorkshire
Bradley Wiggins is the star of the show at the second Tour de Yorkshire which runs from Friday to Sunday this weekend, following a successful debut race last year.
Team Wiggins will battle former teammate and last year’s winner Lars Petter Norhaug who races with Team Sky.
Boxing
Heavyweights Anthony Joshua, David Haye and Tyson Fury may have dominated headlines in recent weeks, but British boxing is strong throughout the divisions, as demonstrated by James DeGale’s in a second IBF super-middleweight title defence against Rogelio Medina in Washington DC. A win for DeGale would set up a huge unification bout against WBC champion Badou Jack.
World Snooker Championship
The World Snooker Championship comes to a close this weekend once the semi-finals between Alan McManus and Ding Junhui and world No1 Mark Selby and Marco Fu have been settled on Saturday.
A £330,000 prize money paycheque is then up for grabs for the winner of Sunday and Monday’s final.
Formula 1
Lewis Hamilton will attempt to get back on track at the Russian Grand Prix this weekend following a difficult start to the season which leaves him trailing Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg by 39 points.
He will receive no let up from the German, who can score the second-highest consecutive run of wins in F1 history should he score a seventh triumph in a row on Sunday.
