Elm appeared to be beyond the last man when he headed on for midfielder Murphy to volley the first on 23 minutes, while Zamora benefited from a marginal decision eight minutes later when his saved shot fell to Elm for the second.
Defender Tyrone Mears went close to pulling one back with a 25-yard free-kick that grazed the crossbar, but Zamora wrapped up the win with a low free-kick on 54 minutes.
