No Premiership return for Ashton
RUGBY UNION: Former England coach Brian Ashton has turned down a chance to return to the Premiership to commit his future to Fylde. Ashton had been linked to coaching roles at Sale and former club Bath, but has opted to continue working at the National Two outfit. He said: “I have had offers of jobs at Premiership level. However, my role as technical director at Fylde will allow me to base my other business interests in sports and management coaching services at Fylde.
