Sarries step up revenge bid with double signing
BEATEN Premiership finalists Saracens have completed their recruitment for next season by clinching the signings of Nils Mordt and Matt Parr.
Zimbabwean-born centre Mordt is an England Saxons and Sevens international who has had spells at London Irish, Northampton and Harlequins.
Also on board is loosehead prop Parr, who returns to the top-flight from Nottingham having previously played for Sale and Sarries’ Premiership conquerors, Leicester.
The pair join a host of high-profile new signings at Vicarage Road next season, including English internationals David Strettle, Matt Stevens and Richard Wigglesworth, plus Scotland’s Kelly Brown and South African Deon Carstens.
Meanwhile, City.A.M. managing director Lawson Muncaster is hoping to continue the paper’s relations with Sarries next year and further enhance their successful partnership.
Mr Muncaster said: “We applaud and congratulate Brendan and everyone at Saracens for a fantastic season.
“To come so close to a first Premiership title was a tremendous achievement and we’ll be right behind them in their quest to go one better next year.”
