Anthony Noto, the former Goldman Sachs banker who worked on Twitter’s IPO, has been recruited as the social network’s chief financial officer.

The 46 year-old replaces Mike Gupta, who becomes senior vice president of strategic investments in a reshuffle designed to allay fears caused by a slowdown in user growth.

Both execs announced their moves on Twitter along with CEO Dick Costolo.

I could not be more excited about joining the @Twitter team & helping them reach every person in the world. #indispensable

— Anthony Noto (@anthonynoto) July 1, 2014

Thanks @dickc Thrilled to start my new role as Head of Strategic Investments. Looking forward to having @anthonynoto on the team

— Mike Gupta (@mgupta) July 1, 2014

Noto and Gupta will take up the new roles within 30 days, according to regulatory filings, with Noto picking up a salary of $250,000 and stock options vesting over four years.

Chief operating officer and former CFO Ali Rowghani departed the company at the beginning June.
