Fiat Chrysler recalls 320,000 Dart cars that could roll away
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has announced that it is recalling more than 320,000 cars over concerns that the model could roll away.
The Italian-American carmaker said the recall covers Dodge Dart compact cars from 2013 to 2016 and mainly affects drivers in the US, Canada and Mexico.

The defective park could allow the shift cable to detach from the transmission and cause the car to roll away, Reuters reported.
In a statement today the company said: “An FCA US investigation discovered certain cars are equipped with a cable bushing that may degrade after prolonged exposure to high ambient heat and humidity.

“Should degradation occur, it may prohibit the driver from shifting gears.”
The company said it had not been made aware of any crashes or injuries related to the defective part but has recorded several thousand reports of related repairs to cars.
The company said a cable bushing may degrade after prolonged exposure to high heat and humidity.
